CUBA BEACH

This collection recreates the summer wool fabrics reminiscent of tropical Cuba in the 1960s.
Made from carefully selected wool fibers, the cloth offers a crisp, dry hand with excellent breathability, firmness, and body—ideal for tailoring with sharp silhouettes.
The NIKKE Heritage Series embodies a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship and the remarkable techniques passed down through generations, ensuring that this legacy continues into the future.

This fabric is a faithful recreation of a material that became a huge hit in the 1960s, originally developed for Japanese businessmen during the nation’s period of rapid economic growth. It continues to use the same resilient wool fiber once known as “Strong Wool,” prized for its firmness and body—though rarely seen in fabrics today. To better suit the modern climate, it has been made slightly lighter and woven with high-twist yarns, giving it a cool, refreshing feel.
Compared to 503-1, this version is slightly lighter, offering an even cooler feel.
The increased openness in the weave makes the fabric more breathable.

【503-1】
A faithful reproduction of the original NIKKE Cuba Beach launched in the 1960s.
Its hallmark is a firm, resilient texture with strong body.
