Our pride and joy, the EXCY Original Jacquard lining, takes 10th place. Woven in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, this yarn-dyed fabric is produced slowly on jacquard looms to create a three-dimensional effect and a beautiful, steady drape.
9️⃣ 9th Place: ~8900~ EXCY Original Jacquard (Summer Plain)
Following the 10th place, this lining is also from Fujiyoshida. It is a plain weave using two-ply yarn specifically designed for summer. It is impressive to see a seasonal item make the annual ranking!
8️⃣ 8th Place: ~AKX200~ Okura Shoji Original (100% Cupro Diamond Pattern)
8th place goes to a 100% Bemberg jacquard lining jointly developed by Asahi Kasei and Okura Shoji (a group company of Yamamoto Co., Ltd., which operates this site). The AKX series ranges from 100 to 800 and features various patterns. Keep an eye out—another one might appear later!
7️⃣ 7th Place: ~AK1800~ 100% Cupro Twill Plain
This is arguably the ultimate classic lining for men’s “Easy Order” (made-to-order) suits. It boasts the signature characteristics of cupro—smoothness, a great feel against the skin, and a lack of static cling—while being a chambray type that uses black dope-dyed yarn for the warp, giving the plain fabric a rich expression. It is available in an extensive range of 40 colors. After the production shortages caused by the 2020 Asahi Kasei factory fire, supply has finally stabilized.
6️⃣ 6th Place: ~AKX100~ AKX Series (Paisley Pattern)
Following 8th place, another AKX series item enters the list. To give you a spoiler: this paisley AKX100 is the undisputed #1 within the AKX series!
5️⃣ 5th Place: ~5500~ EXCY Original Jacquard (Lion Pattern)
5th place is our original jacquard lining featuring a 5-end satin weave with a lion pattern.
4️⃣ 4th Place: ~3100~ EXCY Original Jacquard (Paisley Pattern)
Following the AKX100, the 3100 paisley pattern ranks 4th!
Now, let’s announce the Top 3!
🥉 3rd Place: ~LM~ EXCY Original Jacquard (Checkered Horse Pattern)
The long-beloved “LM” ranks 3rd. To be honest, I thought this would be at the top of the EXCY Original Jacquard series, but it was narrowly beaten by those above it!
🥈 2nd Place: ~1600~ EXCY Original Jacquard (Carriage Pattern)
That’s right! 2nd place goes to the “1600” carriage pattern. What could have possibly surpassed the famous LM and the 1600?

🥇 1st Place: ~11000~ EXCY Original Jacquard (Plain)
The winner of the 2025 ranking, beating out strong contenders like the LM and 1600 patterns, is the 11000! In the end, the versatility of a plain weave proved to be the strongest factor!
